Amulaire to Highlight Liquid-Cooling Cold Plate Products at Power Electronics Technology Exhibition & Conference
At the show, Amulaire’s Ralph Remsburg will give a presentation on Amulaire’s innovative cold plate techniques
LONG BEACH, Calif., POWER ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION, October 24, 2006 — Amulaire Thermal Technology, a thermal management company based in San Diego, will showcase its liquid-cooling cold plate products at the Power Electronics Technology Exhibition & Conference, to be held October 24 to 26, 2006, at the Long Beach (Calif.) Convention Center.
In addition, Ralph Remsburg, chief engineer at Amulaire, will speak on “Non-linear Fin Patterns in Cold Plates for Liquid Cooling” at a presentation beginning at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 25.
“Amulaire’s Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) process produces nearly any shape in metal, without expensive CNC machining – so we can make cold plates for liquid cooling systems out of copper or copper and plastic with the industry’s densest fin configurations and most complex fin patterns, that deliver unprecedented thermal performance at very low pressure drop,” said Paul Hoffman, Amulaire’s president and CEO. “Our innovative cold plates are proving to be of tremendous advantage in a wide range of industries, including for computer, transportation, military, energy, medical and industrial applications.”
For example, Amulaire recently produced a cold plate for a liquid-cooling system that is part of a new 100kW-class motor drive for hybrid vehicles. The motor drive, made by Rinehart Motion Systems, is half the volume of comparable motor drives on the market today, which will help designers reduce some of the size, weight and cost of their hybrid vehicles. (See press release also announced today.)
The Power Electronics Technology Exhibition & Conference brings together world-renowned power electronics technology leaders, speakers and manufacturers to discuss and showcase the latest technologies for designing and integrating power electronics technologies into today’s systems. It is aimed at anyone who works with or purchases power electronic components and equipment.
