The Thermal Engineer will be a key member of the R&D team. The Thermal Engineer works closely with other functions in the company, including Sales and Marketing, and Manufacturing. The Thermal Engineer will work directly with customers to solve their thermal problems. The Thermal Engineer will be responsible for meeting technical and schedule targets for all assigned projects, and will provide written reports and monthly program status reviews.
Location
Amulaire office, Shi Chi, Taipei
Responsibilities
- The Thermal Engineer will work very closely with customers to insure we are solving customer thermal problems and creating value for them. You will also work closely with our internal manufacturing and materials departments to create thermal and mechanical designs that leverage our unique Advanced Molding Technology that allows us to make thermal dissipation products with unique shapes and material compositions.
- Perform thermal and mechanical design, do thermal simulation, thermally measure prototype parts to insure they meet the design criteria.
- Understand our technology and manufacturing limits and design guidelines to create designs that meet customer requirements at the lowest cost and highest quality.
- Ensure that the product design is fully and correctly defined and documented.
Requirements
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Able to create good relationships with customers. Position may require occasional travel.
- 3 years or more experience in thermal engineering related to high performance systems. The ideal candidate will be familiar with thermal issues and design at the IC chip and package level, as well as at the system level - to include conduction, natural convection, and forced convection heat transfer (including fan selection and duct design). Experience with liquid and/or vapor-cooled systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform FEA and CFD thermal simulations and thermal measurements in the lab.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, excel, Project, etc.).
- BS in Engineering or Science. MS in Engineering or Science preferred, with a concentration on an aspect of thermal engineering or heat transfer.
