Amulaire’s unique fabrication process, which we call Advanced Molding Technology™,
creates metal parts of virtually any shape and complexity through a proprietary molding
process. We combine this unprecedented freedom in shape and complexity provided by
our Advanced Molding Technology™ with our thermal design, simulation and
characterization capability to develop superior performance thermal products.
For example, design of our liquid-cooled cold plates for power semiconductor modules
began by optimizing the thermal performance (maximizing the surface area available for
heat transfer while optimizing the fin shape and spacing to keep pressure drop as low as
possible). Then we used our Advanced Molding Technology™ to turn that optimized
design into real parts - resulting in the densest array of pin fins available in industry. We
call this our NanoPin™ technology.

The net result is that our liquid-cooled cold plates significantly out-perform competing
cold plates both in terms of thermal performance and pressure drop. This means our
customers can design either higher power systems or smaller, denser systems at their
existing power levels. Furthermore our reduced pressure drop often allows a reduction in
pump size and corresponding cost savings.
This process of design and simulation optimization supported by our Advanced Molding
Technology™ for manufacturing can be applied to other thermal applications besides
cold plates.

Our Company
Amulaire was founded in 1999. Our headquarters, sales office, R&D team, and light
manufacturing facilities are located in San Diego, California, a growing center for hightech
companies.
To serve our global customers, Amulaire also has a design team, sales office, and
manufacturing operations in Taiwan.
